Right. I'm a dude, and here's my shit:
Human Classification: Keplerites, more commonly referred to as "Fishies" by the layman
Planet Name: Kepler 22b
Home Star: Kepler-22 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kepler-22)
Technological Ranking: IV - Space-Faring
Population: 10.3b
Governmental Structure: Technocratic Republican Oligarchy
Homeworld Classifications:
Kepler-22b is, as many people would call it, is a water world. Nearly three times the size of earth, the planet allows for a much larger population. Temperatures are quite hospitable for life, in fact, with an average temperature of 21*C. Rocky reefs and plateaus comprise most of the ocean floor, the latter being where most 'cities' were built by the Keplerites.
The atmosphere is indescribable earthlike, with a high concentration of nitrogen and oxygen. Helium, strangely enough, is also exceedingly prevalent within the atmosphere (more than triple earth's), making the atmosphere of Kepler-22b 'breathable' yet dangerous for any elongated period of time.
Biological Data
Keplerites are best described as humanoid fish. Carbon based and capable of both separating the necessary gasses from their air and the large bodies of water with the 'gills', although this is a poor comparison. Due to their habitat, their sensory organs are more accustomed to 'touch' than 'sight', although they possess a capacity for all senses. Appendages deemed 'manipulators' branch off what would be described as their craniums, looking much like compact trees, almost like a trunk terminating in two smaller branches, both of which terminate in two smaller branches; so and so forth. These manipulators can be razor sharp, proving that Keplerities can be quite dangerous.
They're invertebrates, best described as cylindrical cones, their 'tails' terminating in a large vertical flipper to help them easily navigate their ocean homes. Their craniums are mostly comprised of a gigantic and muscular quad-jaw made for crushing the shells of the many crustaceans they prey on to feed on the meat inside, as they have a primarily carnivorous diet, although they are herbivores. They grow to be nearly four feet in length and have an average lifespan of ninety-three years and a natural lifespan of fifty or thereabouts, mainly due to their number of vicious predators.
Offspring tend to be born in an average group of four.
Societal Data:
The Keplerites practically worship technology, their very society based on a trifecta of scientist-politicians, managing branches of what we would call "Physics, Chemistry and Astronomy". Every Keplerite works, in one way or another, in these fields, from the lowliest grunts to the prestigious researchers. The Three Councilmembers are representatives of their respective branches, each having extensive knowledge and having made advances in their own particular fields. They make decisions that they believe would be best for their people. Every six solar rotations, or every 4.76 years for us, an election of sorts is held. Data on these elections is sparse, as it is a mainly sacred affair. While some would think this would create large room for corruption and such, it's surprisingly uncommon due to Keplerite society and mental state.
Commonly used are robotic legs to navigate terrain both underwater and above ground, making them best resemble centipedes, only their individual legs numbering below ten instead of one hundred. The idea of 'clothing' is completely lost on them, as their planet's range for temperature fluctuations is remarkably low in comparison to our's, and instead, climate is controlled through chemical reactions.
What buildings they have above ground are made purely for production of items that would be impossible underwater. Masters of robotics, they use specialized machines to do space-faring work that they could not, instead acting more as control centers than as actual workers for anything but ocean-related tasks.
